The Rice football team's marching band performed during halftime at Rice Stadium and angered Baylor fans off with their innuendos mocking their sexual assault case.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Rice "MOB" made formations on the field that spelled the Roman numeral "IX," alluding to the Title XI. Also, the band formed in the shape of a star, referring to Ken Starr, the former chancellor of Baylor.

The performance began with an image of Muppet Fozzie Bear on the video board. The announcer yelled "some jokes can be unbearable," poking fun at Baylor's mascot.

Then the band tried to be funnier when their announcer said "there are nine judges on the Supreme Court or is it?"

The egregious performance ended by lining up in an "N" formation. "N stands for knowledge if you get educated in Wacky Waco," the Rice announcer about their Waco, Texas-based rival.

In July, reports of sexual assault and survivors being threatened to remain quiet surfaced about the Baptist School. Starr, and the school's former football coach, Art Briles, were fired after an independent investigation into the school's Title IX practices which they violated. According to AP, it was found that they made no efforts to properly report sexual assault cases on campus, and had "fornication," "adultery," and "homosexual acts" in their official list of university misconduct.

The band was given boos by the Baylor side of the stadium, while others from the Rice side either felt awkward or laughed their asses off while chanting "Title XI."

The band immediately recognized their bad joke and issued an apologized to Baylor. You can read their statement here:
