Did you stay up late to watch ESPN’s second Monday Night Football game featuring the Rams taking on the 49ers on Monday night? Ugh. If so, more power to you. The Rams were absolutely awful and got destroyed by the 49ers 28-0 in a contest that looked more like a preseason game than the final game of the first weekend of the 2016-17 NFL season. It was probably one of the worst NFL games that will be played this season.

There was one really memorable moment during the game, though. With about 11 minutes remaining on the clock in the fourth quarter, a 49ers fan decided to storm the field and run around for a little while before security was able to bring him down. And while that in and of itself wasn’t all that great—why do people continue to do this when they know they’re going to get arrested and fined for doing it?—it took a pretty great turn when NFL play-by-play radio broadcaster Kevin Harlan decided to have some fun with it by narrating the guy’s every move. As some people on Twitter pointed out, Harlan sounded like he was calling the Super Bowl as the situation played itself out.

"Hey, somebody has run out on the field," Harlan said. "Some goofball in a hat and a red shirt. Now he takes off the shirt. He’s running down the middle by the 50. He’s at the 30. He’s bare-chested and banging his chest. Now he runs the opposite way. He runs to the 50! He runs to the 40! The guy is drunk! But there he goes. The 20! They’re chasing him. They’re not going to get him. Waving his arms, bare-chested—somebody stop that man! Oh, they got him! They’re coming from the left. Oh, and they tackle him at the 40-yard line! That was the most exciting thing to happen tonight."

Sadly, he’s not wrong. Sigh. You can hear Harlan's excellent call in the clip above. You can also listen to him discuss the call during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday morning below:
