It's true, Johnny Manziel has re-enrolled at Texas A&M. Two years ago, Manziel put his degree on hold, and declared for the 2014 NFL Draft where he was taken by the Browns with the 23rd overall pick. The Johnny Football era in Cleveland was short-lived as he found himself in one off-the-field issue after another. As a free agent, the 23-year-old struggled to find an NFL team willing to take a chance on him.

So, with the 2016 NFL season fast approaching, what is Johnny Football to do? "I'm trying to get back to my roots," Manziel toldTMZ Sports. "I need to get my degree like I told my parents I would." The Tyler, Texas native revealed that he "enrolled not too long ago," but wouldn't divulge how many classes he's taking this semester. According to TexAgs.com's Billy Liucci, Manziel will remain in Los Angeles, and take online classes.

It's unclear if Manziel has decided to put his hopes of playing in the NFL on hold, so he can focus strictly on getting his degree in recreation, parks, and tourism sciences. However, with all teams working to trim down their rosters for the 2016 campaign, it looks like Johnny Football already has his mind made up for him.

While it's easy to commend Manziel for trying to fulfill the promise he made to his parents, let's wait until he actually gets his degree. Browns fans know all too well about being let down by promises made by Johnny Football.
