David Ortiz is singing his swan song in New York this week for his final three-game series against the Yankees in The Bronx.

The legendary Red Sox DH has been through plenty of battles against his team's American League East rivals over the course of his 14 seasons in Boston. He reflected on that in a post titled "Thank You, New York" that he published in The Players' Tribune early Tuesday, before the first game of the series.

Ortiz discussed the players that he enjoyed competing against, including retired pinstriped icons Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera. But he trolled fans with this statement: "Some players are born to be Yankees, you know what I'm saying? I was born to play against the Yankees."

He knows how to get Yankees fans pissed off, and even stated in the piece that he was heard about a Yankees supporter who started the website moonbigpapi.com to get fans to heckle the Red Sox star at the games.

This dude even made a whole website: moonbigpapi.com.

The final matchups of the season between the Sox and the Yankees will be great to watch. At least Ortiz had to grace to take the heckling from Yankees fans in stride over the years. It probably only made him smack more home runs out of the park over the years.

Yankee fans, I got one final thing to tell you.

One love Big Papi, and happy trails in your retirement!
