Cam Newton is back at it again with his eccentric taste in hats. Perhaps he's trying to go for being the Russell Westbrook of NFL press conferences, who knows.

The Panthers quarterback continued his weird headpiece streak on Sunday during the post-game conference following the Panthers (1-2) loss to the Vikings (3-0) which the final score was 22-10. During the game, he was completely dominated by the Vikings defense by being sacked eight times (the second-most ever against Newton) and he threw three INTs.

There was an increased presence of police outside of Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium prior to the game due to the current political unrest following the police shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott this past Tuesday. There were approximately 100 people peacefully protesting outside the stadium, who kneeled during the National Anthem before the game.

Newton, known for his wavering controversial statements about the role of race and the injustice of police brutality, wore a t-shirt with a Martin Luther King statement that read "INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS A THREAT TO JUSTICE EVERYWHERE" during warmups before Sunday's kickoff.

After the game ended, Newton wore a top hat looking like "Thomas" from the movie Glory. The hat also had a note that read "don't be a puppet" attached to the right top part of the hat. That could be a fashion and political statement towards his individuality and not letting oppressors control your behavior. That's my guess.

But there were plenty of people on Twitter who had some funny reactions to Newton's fashion taste. Check them out below.
