Barack Obama was campaigning for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in Philadelphia on Tuesday. The leader of the free world is helping Clinton win the Pennsylvania swing state vote, and tried to win over the Eagles fans at the rally by acknowledging the impressive Week 1 production of their rookie starting quarterback Carson Wentz.

The Eagles' 2016 top draft pick faired well with 22 of 37 pass attempts, 278 yards, and two touchdowns in the team's 29-10 victory over the Browns.

Obama told the crowd that Vice President Joe Biden, who was at the Eagles game in Philly on Sunday, told POTUS that Wentz is the real deal and tried to get his boss to switch teams.“Some of you may have seen Joe Biden at the Eagles game," Obama said. The President added, "He told me, ‘Barack, you’ve got to get on the Wentz wagon. They’ve got a new quarterback. We’ve got hope in Philly.'”

But it seems like Obama isn't willing to budge and stray from his pride in Da Bears. “And I had to explain that I am a Bears fan," he said, unsurprisingly sparking boos from the crowd. Obama continued, "We play Philly next Monday night, so I’ve got to stick with my team, but I am gonna go to Philly and scout out what all of the fuss is about.”
