The USA women's national basketball squad is more dominant than the USA men's team. This is factual because the women won their sixth consecutive gold medal by routing Spain in the final game 101-72 on Saturday. As for the men's team— who have struggled in the last two weeks versus Australia, Serbia, and France—they won the bronze medal in the 2004, and have only won two straight Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012. The men's team is going for their third in a row on Sunday. So what does that tell you?

After the win, multiple NBA players and league All-Stars, including LeBron James, Chris Paul, Anthony Davis, and the retired Kobe Bryant gave credit where it was due to the ladies steamrolling towards another gold medal.

USABWNT member Brittany Griner trolled DeMarcus Cousins claiming she could beat him 1-on-1 earlier this week. Women's team head coach Geno Auriemma said that he would bet his bank account and house that wouldn't happen.

Numbers don't lie though when it comes to gold medals grabbed in the last six Olympiads for both the men's and women's teams. The last time the women didn't get the gold was 1992 when they won the bronze medal. That's two straight decades of Olympic gold chips by the women.
