While speaking with reporters on Monday, Ezekiel Elliott admitted that he thinks he made a "bad decision" by visiting a weed dispensary during the Cowboys' road trip to Seattle on Thursday. At the same time, he said that he didn't mean any harm when doing it.

"It was a bad decision," Elliott said, according to the Star-Telegram. "Just seen it walking around. I was curious. Didn’t really think about it before I went in what the repercussions could have been. It wasn’t like I was trying to hide it or anything. I took pictures with people. It wasn’t like I was up to no good. I was curious. I didn’t think I was doing anything wrong. I wasn’t breaking any laws or anything. It was a bad decision. It was something I shouldn’t have done. But I know now."

Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott made his preseason debut on Thursday night during his team's game against the Seahawks. He picked up 48 yards on seven carries in the first quarter of the contest and earned himself some high praise from at least one Seattle player after the game.

But unfortunately, that’s not what everyone is talking about this morning with regards to Elliott. That's because hours before the former Ohio State running back debuted for Dallas, he was spotted browsing around at a Seattle weed dispensary called Herban Legends. TMZ Sportspublished a video that shows him looking around inside of the shop on Thursday:

And while Elliott did not break any laws by shopping at Herban Legends—marijuana use is legal in the state of Washington—Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has already come out and expressed disappointment in Elliott’s decision to visit the shop, even though it doesn’t appear as though the player actually purchased anything while he was there.

"Well, I think that in and of itself, the reason we are talking about it is in a way part of the learning process," Jones said following the Cowboys’ loss to the Seahawks. "But it’s not good. It’s just not good. It’s just not good."

Jones also reemphasized his disappointment with the situation a short time later. "Again, that’s a part of just really getting the big picture here," he said. "No matter if you played at whatever level, there is a picture here of interest. So again, I’m aware of it. I heard the report. I would know how he is, and he needs to look at that. And the other thing is it’s just not good."

Elliott hasn't responded directly to any of the talk surrounding his weed dispensary visit, but he did post this on Twitter on Friday morning:

This is now the second time Elliott has landed in the news this offseason for the wrong reasons. In July, he was accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend. He has denied the accusations made against him, but the district attorney’s office in Columbus, Ohio is still investigating an alleged domestic violence incident that took place.
