Aly Raisman's performance at this year's Rio Olympics not only snagged her one gold and two silver medals, but apparently, it also caught the eye of an admirer: Oakland Raiders tight end Colton Underwood. And while most of us could only dream of even talking to Aly, Underwood had an ace up his sleeve in teammate and Raiders long snapper Andrew East, who is married to Raisman's friend and former U.S. gymnast Shawn Johnson.
In a segment with Yahoo, Raisman was asked about what she's looking for in a boyfriend. After politely declining a couple celebrity names—Zac Efron ("That's Simone's guy, she's made that clear to me multiple times"), and Rob Gronkowski ("I think he's a little bit more of a partier than I am")—the 22-year-old gymnast was asked out on a double date with East and Johnson by Underwood.
And she accepted. It sounds like the double date is set for some time in September when Raisman, who will take part in the 2016 Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions, will be in San Jose, Calif.
Since Aly agreed to go on a date with Underwood, the two have exchanged brief messages with one another on Twitter.
Aww. Are we witnessing the beginning of a beautiful relationship? We don't want to assume anything, but we definitely wish these two nothing but the best going forward.
