With the flurry of NBA free agent signings today and the lingering potential of Kevin Durant possibly (but probably not!) leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder, it'd make sense if you forgot Dwyane Wade is a free agent. Though Wade has a close relationship with the only NBA team he's ever played for, the three-time NBA champion has reportedly "put out feelers" because he and the Heat haven't been able to get close on a financial figure.

Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union, added an interesting twist to the situation Friday afternoon, when she posted this tweet:

When u waiting for a text/email/skywriting and nada... thanks for being crystal clear

Additionally, this is Union's most recent Like on Twitter.

Evan Fournier and Evan Turner are getting $17M per season.... So what is Dwyane Wade worth?

Meanwhile, The Vertical is reporting rival executives have spoken with Wade on the phone.

Sources: Rival execs expected to speak with Wade on phone today, armed with belief his contract impasse with Heat has him considering move.

...and ESPN's Brian Windhorst says Wade has meetings planned with the Knicks and Bucks.

Dwyane Wade is in contract talks with the Knicks & Bucks and could schedule meetings next week, sources told ESPN.

Wade agreed to a one-year, $20 million deal with Miami last year when they faced the same situation. Earlier today, Forbes handicapped the odds on Wade leaving the Heat at 16.67 percent. If, as Union seemed to imply, the Heat have not reached out to Wade, though, that number should jump significantly.

We get it: Union might have been tweeting about something unrelated. But Union, who posts about Wade frequently, understands the significance of this day, and she's never shy to stick up for her boo.
