Yeah, Jeets! Derek Jeter married Hannah Davis in a small ceremony at the Meadowood resort in Napa, Calif. on Saturday night.
According to Page Six, the wedding consisted of fewer than 100 guests. Some of the attendees included a few of Davis's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue model friends and Jeter's former Yankees teammates, Jorge Posada, Andruw Jones, and Tino Martinez, as well as his parents, Charles and Dorothy, and younger sister, Sharlee.
Their wedding comes after three years of dating, and nearly one year after Jeter popped the question and confirmed the engagement by burying it in a piece about his dog Kane on his website The Players' Tribune.
In an interview with Health Magazine, Davis expressed a desire to keep her nuptials as low key as possible. “I’m chill. I just want it to be a fun day, not all the fuss. I don’t want to go overboard—it’s not about the place settings. I won’t get stressed out about that, ’cause I could just care less," she said. “I think finding someone you truly don’t have to change for—not even a single part of you—makes you rise to the occasion."
As for what the future holds for Mr. and Mrs. Jeter, Page Six reports that Jeter is “definitely ready to be a dad,” and they want to "start a family right away." Here's to the two of you, or should we let DJ's nephew do the honors.
