Peyton Manning won’t be playing football for the Broncos next season. He announced his retirement from the NFL with an emotional speech back in March. But on Monday, he joined the team (minus Aqib Talib, who didn't attend after getting shot at a nightclub in Denver on Saturday) for one last road trip as they flew from Denver to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Obama at the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl 50 victory over the Panthers in February. And as you would expect, the President had plenty to say about Manning during the speech he delivered to the team.
President Obama started his speech by yelling “Omaha!” several times and running through a few of Manning’s favorite audibles at the line of scrimmage. Then, he gave props to the Broncos’ defense:
“I’m a Bears fan and 1985 was pretty good—[former Broncos quarterback John] Elway remembers—but I have to admit that this one was pretty good, too."
He spent some time heaping praise on Von Miller (and his shoes!). And then President Obama directed his attention back to Manning and poked fun at the fact that he seems to be in every other commercial on TV.
“It doesn’t matter if you need insurance, pizza, a Buick,” President Obama said. “You basically can stock your whole household with stuff this guy is selling.”

President Obama then proceeded to talk more about Manning’s accomplishments before he wrapped up his speech and received a Denver jersey and signed helmet from the team. You can check out President Obama’s full speech for the Broncos in the clip above.
