The hype surrounding Andrew Luck’s new contract has been building for quite some time. When Cam Newton inked a new 5-year, $103.8 million deal last June, the first question most people asked was “Can you imagine how much money the Colts are going to give Luck now?!” Even though he hasn’t won a Super Bowl—or even been to a Super Bowl—yet, the thought is that Luck is going to be one of the best QBs in the league for years to come.
The Colts are banking on Luck's future success and signed him to a massive contract extension on Wednesday. Colts owner Jim Irsay announced that his team has signed Luck to an extension that will extend through 2021:
