Aaron Hernandez has decided to hire a new defense team, which features an all too familiar face. Casey Anthony's lawyer Jose Baez has confirmed he will represent Hernandez in his upcoming trial for the 2012 double homicide of Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado in Boston.

Baez's announcement comes just one day after reports surfaced that he was meeting with Hernandez for a consultation. "I really can’t make any statements about the contents of my conversations at all," he told TMZ at the time. "Yes, I did meet with Aaron, but beyond that I really can’t say very much."

Baez represented Anthony in 2011 when she was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee. Casey was eventually acquitted of the charges against her. Last month, an affidavit in Anthony's bankruptcy case revealed that Baez hired private investigator Dominic Casey to find the body before the police. "Baez had told me that Casey had murdered Caylee and dumped the body somewhere," Casey said in the affidavit,"and he needed all the help he could get to find the body before anyone else did."

Baez requested that "the public afford Mr. Hernandez the presumption of innocence and let the facts unfold in the court of law."
