Rob Gronkowski is an American treasure. If you didn't believe it before reading his GQ cover story, you almost certainly do now. It's hard to hate the fun-loving, "super-ripped giant baby," as writer Devin Friedman described him. He might be the most universally loved American professional athlete alive today (though Stephen Curry poses steep competition).

Perhaps Gronkowski's most likeable feature is his undeniable "I don't take my self too seriously" vibe. He chose his college because of the pool parties. He still giggles when he hears "69." He's not afraid to ask a reporter out while being interviewed.

His latest act of silliness: taking on ballet lessons from Miami City Ballet's Nathalia Arja. Arja walks Gronk through plies ("Dang, I'm doing pretty good," Gronk says), fifth position, jumps, and more. Watching the 6-foot-6, 265-pound monster attempt to be light on his feet is entertaining.

It should be noted that Gronkowski, agile and coordinated, loves dancing and never hesitates to do so ...even when he should probably think twice.

Friedman, who went to the club with Gronk, said of his dancing, "Rob is pretty good, but there is something about the way he dances that makes me think of a boy who had grown up learning to dance from music videos while living under a repressive regime."

Maybe next time at the club Gronk will pull out some plies.
