Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said he would "absolutely" listen if Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton expressed interest in making him her running mate, according to SI.com. Cuban had joked last week he would join Clinton as long as he was allowed to "throw bombs" at Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Meet the Press host Chuck Todd interviewed Cuban and asked whether he would actually consider an offer from Clinton to join her ticket. "If she really did come to you, would you listen?" Todd asked.
"Absolutely," Cuban said. "But the key would be, she'd have to go more to center, I think. I like the fact that Senator Clinton has thought-out proposals. That's a good thing because at least we get to see exactly where she stands. But I think Senator Sanders has dragged her a little bit too far to the left."
Cuban has a more right-oriented economic view. Names like Andrew Cuomo, Elizabeth Warren, and Martin O'Malley have been tossed around as potential Clinton VP picks. Though the odds she'd actually consider Cuban are probably very slim, remember this: Donald Trump is a viable presidential candidate.
"If she's willing to listen, if she's willing to hear other sides of things, then I'm wide open to discussing it," Cuban said.
