Vancouver Whitecaps striker Masato Kudo was floored by opposition goalkeeper Matt Lampson as he chased a long ball, in what is one of the most sickening collisions you'll see on a football pitch.
The MLS striker was kept on the floor in the minutes after the collision while fellow players and medics rushed to the field to help him.
Although he was bleeding from the mouth after the collision and had suffered a concussion, later updates revealed the striker was alert and making a recovery in hospital.
