NBA D-League player Keith Appling—who signed two 10-day contracts with the Magic during the 2015-16 NBA season and was named an NBA D-League All-Star as a member of the Erie BayHawks—was arrested over the weekend for allegedly bringing a loaded AK-47 into a strip club in Dearborn, Michigan called Pantheon Club. WXYZ-TV reporter Justin Rose broke the story a short time ago:

Bad news for former Spartan Keith Appling. Sources tell us he was arrested over the weekend in Dearborn at a strip club with a loaded AK-47.

At this time, it’s unclear why the former Michigan State star brought the gun into the strip gun in the first place or what he planned on doing with it. But according to Rose, police are currently investigating the situation to try and find out more about Appling's intentions:

Sources haven't released full details of what he was doing with the gun, or what his intentions were. Police are still investigating.
