Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott spent his first day of rookie minicamp addressing some old tweets about his new teammate Tony Romo. Back in 2012, following a game where Romo was picked off three times in a 28-18 loss to Washington, Prescott criticized the 14-year veteran with a string of tweets captured by the Washington Post

Compared to the joke fired off by Larry Nance Jr. about Kobe Bryant before the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him with 27th overall pick in last year's NBA Draft, Prescott's comments are relatively tame. So tame,  that the former Mississippi State star quarterback wasn't even planning to address them with Romo.

Per the Dallas Morning News

"I'm going to let him bring it up. I think it's funny," Prescott said. "I'm sure he'll think it's funny. I was a frustrated fan at the time. I'm sure you can go back and look at fans of Mississippi State and they may have said something similar at one point or another, so I was just being a fan and now he's my teammate and I'm behind him 100 percent."

Given Romo's history of fails, Prescott could've gone much harder at him, so these remarks shouldn't draw a wedge between them. Or, maybe, Dak just ensured himself a pretty embarrassing rookie hazing in the coming weeks.

The Cowboys did not immediately respond to Complex’s request for comment.
