It looks like Arsene Wenger gets more love in France than he does in north London.

After a successful lifetime in football, the Arsenal manager is being celebrated in his home region of Alsace, France and traveled back home this past weekend to open the 'Stade de Arsene Wenger'.

Alsace is located around 20 miles from Wenger's hometown of Strasbourg and the new 500-seater stadium will be home to the region's local team, USL Dippenheim.

Arsene Wenger opened the stadium at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Speaking as he opened the stadium, Wenger said he hoped his story would inspire young footballers in the region.
