Anthony Joshua taking on Tyson Fury could happen sooner rather than later.
In a press conference to announce a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko for July 9th, Tyson Fury's camp said their man wants to take Joshua's newly-won IBF heavyweight belt before the end of the year – and it sounds like AJ is up for that fight in 2016, too.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn says they're lining up a world heavyweight title unification fight with Fury as early as this November:
"I've chatted to Peter Fury about it, we know how big the fight is and both guys, both camps, really fancy their chances in the fight. So I think that's a fight you will see sooner rather than later.
Hearn says Joshua will fight Fury this year, and David Haye in 2017.
Hearn also said that a fight with David Haye is harder to make due to the Hayemaker's lack of presence in any boxing's governing bodies' top ten rankings:
"I think that's unrealistic, as much as Haye wants the fight, he knows it's a proper fight and that fight is going to build and grow.
Let's go, champs.
