We finally have a date for Tyson Fury's rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.
After months of protracted negotiations since their first fight in November 2015, Tyson Fury's trainer – Peter Fury – has confirmed that his fighter will defend the world heavyweight titles against Klitschko in Manchester on July 9th.
Peter Fury made the announcement on Twitter, saying confirmation will come at midday.
Tyson Fury upset the odds to defeat Wladimir Klitschko on points in Germany last November and win the WBO, WBA (Super), IBO and The Ring heavyweight titles. He also won the IBF title – but was stripped of it days later. Anthony Joshua fights for that title this weekend.
With Fury's rematch against Klitschko out of the way by the end of summer, could we see a huge title unification fight between Joshua and Fury before the end of the year? Lets not tempt fate.
