Anthony Davis knows how to put up numbers on the basketball court. Before getting injured this season, he averaged 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. But when it comes to social media, it sounds like he’s striking out more often than not.

ESPN The Magazinejust published a story about how pro athletes use social media to hook up with people on Instagram, Twitter, and, of course, Tinder. And while athletes like DeSean Jackson, Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, Jahlil Okafor, Brandon Jennings, and more readily admit that social media has been very, very, very good to them, Davis hasn’t had quite as much luck. Maybe he was just being coy during his interview with ESPN The Magazine, but he went as far as to say that his direct message boxes on social media are more or less empty these days.

“My DMs not popping,” he says in the story. “I don’t know what my problem is.”

Maybe Davis should go to Yo Gotti for some help. Then again, maybe he shouldn't after seeing what some of his fellow athletes have gone through in the DMs.

Elsewhere in the ESPN The Magazine piece, Rob Gronkowski gives Tinder tips, Tyler Eifert reveals how to avoid a catfish, and Willie Cauley-Stein talks about how he prefers picking up a woman at a Wal-Mart or a gas station to doing it online. You can read the full story here.
