Earlier today, President Obama welcomed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to the White House for an official visit. And while the two spoke about a whole bunch of things way more important than sports, our favorite part of the visit came when President Obama decided to talk some trash to the PM with regards to the Stanley Cup.

The Blackhawkswon the Cup last season—and they might win it again this season, seeing as how they have the second-best record in the NHL at the moment. And President Obama was sure to let Trudeau hear about it after he joked about the U.S. being better at hockey than Canada.

“Where’s the Stanley Cup right now?” he asked. “I’m sorry, is it in my hometown with the Chicago Blackhawks?”

Ooooooooooh! Granted, several of the Blackhawks’ best players from last season, including Patrick Sharp, Jonathan Toews, and Duncan Keith, are Canadian, which Trudeau was quick to point out. But he didn’t talk trash quite as effectively as President Obama. So the point goes to the President.

Watch him talk smack in the clip above. The only way this could have been any better is if he had brought his mini Stanley Cup along with him:
