Did LeSean McCoy and three of his friends attack a group of off-duty police officers at a club in Philadelphia earlier this month—or was it the other way around?

Two of the off-duty cops ended up in the hospital with a variety of injuries as a result of a brawl that took place between McCoy and the officers. That much is known. But which side started the fight could ultimately decide whether or not McCoy & Co. are charged with any crimes. And a new Buffalo News report suggests that McCoy might end up getting off without being charged as a result of it.

The Philadelphia DA is still investigating what happened, despite pressure from the police union to charge McCoy. But according to the Buffalo News, here is the story that McCoy and his entourage are sticking to as of right now:

This is what happened, according to a person close to McCoy and familiar with the situation who spoke to The News but not for attribution.

That doesn’t sound all that unbelievable, but it’ll be up to the DA to decide whether or not that’s what really happened and whether or not McCoy and his friends should be charged because of the injuries that the off-duty cops suffered. Stay tuned for further details.
