It’s been more than a month now since Josh Norman and Odell Beckham Jr.got into a series of fights during a Panthers/Giants game. But reporters are still asking Norman about it and trying to get to the bottom of what actually happened between the two players.

During Super Bowl Opening Night in San Francisco on Monday, Norman wasn’t in the mood to discuss Beckham Jr. He shot down a few questions about him and said, “I don’t want to talk about that guy now,” when he was asked about him. But when Deion Sanders approached him at one point on behalf of the NFL Network, Norman couldn’t get out of addressing the situation. And the interview between the two got really awkward because it seems Sanders played a role in trying to get Norman and Beckham Jr. to patch things up after their incident.

According to Sanders, he tried to call Norman a short time after the Panthers/Giants game with Beckham Jr. on the phone. The plan was for Beckham Jr. to apologize to Norman for what had taken place. But Norman apparently refused to take Sanders’ call because he was upset about some things Sanders said about the situation. Specifically, he didn't like that Sanders said stuff like this:

.@DeionSanders tells @RichEisenShow that Josh Norman had a bat on field before game. Said he'd end career & made sexual slurs towards OBJ

During their interview last night, Sanders attempted to tell Norman that he was “proud” of both him and Beckham Jr. because of the way they approach the game of football. But Norman didn’t look like a guy who was ready to forgive and forget with regards to how Sanders handled his situation with Beckham Jr.—and he was more than happy to tell Sanders about it.

“I felt like you had his back on some stuff,” Norman said. “Like he was your son and you’d give him props. He’s trying to take me out and that’s what you’re going to pat him on the back for and say ‘good job’?”

Norman and Sanders did show love for one another at the end of the interview, which leads us to believe there’s no bad blood between the two. But their interview was really uncomfortable due to whatever underlying issues they still have with one another. Check it out in the clip above.
