Petr Cech just confirmed his place as Arsenal's fan favourite.

The towering goalkeeper made the switch across the capital from Chelsea to Arsenal last summer and has made a good start to life at the Emirates, with the Gunners sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League.

Now – in a break from conventional behaviour for multi-million pound footballers – Cech has been spotted riding a rush hour commuter train on his day off. Cech and his Arsenal team mates have been given a few days off after a busy festive period and the 'keeper used his time for a day out in London with family.

It's official, Petr Cech is a better person than George Osborne.

In 2012, the Tory chancellor was involved in a row when he felt entitled enough to sit in the first class section of a trains with a standard fare ticket.
