Normally, a random Jazz/Hornets game in the middle of January wouldn’t be on our radar. But today's game between the two teams was anything but normal.

Kemba Walker went off during the Hornets’ 124-119 win in double overtime. He knocked down 16 of the 34 shots he took—including 6 of his 11 three-point attempts—and finished the game with 52 points. It makes him just the fourth 50-point scorer of the 2015-16 NBA season (Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and James Harden have also dropped 50) and the first 50-pointer scorer in the history of the Hornets’ franchise.

Oh, and Walker didn’t just score, either. He also grabbed 9 rebounds, dished out 8 assists, recorded 2 steals, and only turned the ball over 3 times in almost 47 minutes of action. Not bad. Not bad at all.

And just in case you’re wondering: Yes, Michael Jordanwas there to see it.

Between this performance and the Panthers, how good is the sports scene in the city of Charlotte right now?!
