Watch a One-Handed College Basketball Player Score His First Points of the Season

One-handed college basketball player scores his first points of the season

Zach Hodskins was born without the bottom part of his left arm, but that hasn't stopped him from pursuing a career in Division I college basketball

Despite having only one hand, Hodskins earned a spot as a walk-on at the University of Florida, and he scored his first basket of the season in the final minute of his team's 89-65 victory over Jacksonville.

Hodskins is far from a charity case. He averaged 11.8 points per game and shot 37 percent from the field during his senior season in high school, and (according to Yahoo Sports) scored almost 23 points per night during an eight-game stretch thanks to his shooting from three-point distance.

Here's another look at his first college-level bucket in slow motion.
