Rob Ryan's NFL Network Debut: "Everything in New Orleans is Blamed On Me, Including Katrina"

It's good to leave room for improvement.

Rob Ryan got fired by the Saints last Monday for coordinating a defense that was last or second-to-last in every major category. Like a lot of fired coaches, he snagged a cushy analyst job, making his debut this morning on NFL Network. It was going well for, we don't know, 45 minutes or so, when Ryan dropped a Hurricane Katrina joke that made host Rich Eisen cover his face in embarrassment.

Safe to say it probably wasn't the best opener in sports media history but, if nothing else, it's good to leave room to improve for future shows, assuming you're still on the payroll when they're set to air.
