Oscar Pistorius will be released from prison next week, 12 months after he received a five year sentence.

The South African Olympic and Paralympic athlete will be placed under house arrest from next Tuesday after he was found guilty of manslaughter, or culpable homicide, in 2014.

Pistorius – who won two gold medals at the 2012 Paralympic games – was judged to have fatally shot Reeva Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door.
