Ichiro Pitches For First Time in 15-Year Future Hall of Fame Career

Perfect way to cap Marlins season.

I'm not sure if Ichiro is retiring, or Miami is just goofing off because there's nothing to play for (and if that's the case they should've been doing this by mid-June) or what, but the future Hall of Famer took the mound for the first time in his 15-year career late this afternoon. He stayed there for a not entirely terrible inning.

In that inning (which happened to be the 8th) the former MVP allowed a run on two hits. This, of course, would make him one of the more effective relievers to come out of the bullpen this year for the sorry ass Marlins. He reportedly hit 88 MPH on the radar gun and, as you can see above and below, mixed in a healthy dose of sliders with his 41-year-old arm.
