A former clubhouse worker for the Yankees who was fired in 1997 has co-authored a tell-all book about the team, and it includes plenty of wild accusations.

Paul Priore has self-published Abused By The New York Yankees, and according to the book's website and this review (via Deadspin), here is just a taste of what you can find by thumbing through its pages:

  • Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada engaged in sexual relations in the clubhouse sauna at the end of their first season, and they allowed Priore to perform oral sex on them so he'd keep that a secret.
  • George Steinbrenner used hidden security cameras in the clubhouse to spy on players.
  • Mariano Rivera was one of three players who allegedly tried to sexually assault Priore with a baseball bat.

Now is a good time to mention that we have no idea if any of this is true, and that technically, anyone can write anything about anyone else. It's also worth noting that Priore sued the Yankees following his termination, and may have a bit of an ax to grind where his former employer is concerned.

Whether you believe what's in the book's pages or you don't, it sounds like a fairly entertaining read—if only to hear more of these outrageous anecdotes.
