As if we didn't already have enough controversy to talk about following the NFL's first game of the season, now comes word that the league is investigating a Steelers assistant coach for an alleged assault against a fan of the Patriots.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that NFL security is looking into an incident involving tight ends coach James Daniel, where he allegedly kicked a New England fan on the way to the locker room, and yelled at him in front of multiple witnesses. Police and league security were reportedly waiting for Daniel at the coaching booth once halftime was over, and witnesses said that Daniel began shouting at the police officer as part of the confrontation.

Between the Patriots being accused of cheating because of faulty headsets and fans getting ejected for threatening to run onto the field, it was a busy opening night for those in the league office.
