Back in December 2004, a man named Jesus Aparico was involved in a car accident and slipped into a coma. Prior to the accident, he was a big fan of Roger Federer, who had won three of four Grand Slam events that year. Recently, Aparico woke up from his coma, and one of the first things that he asked about was Federer. And according to him, he was shocked when he discovered that Federer was still out here flourishing on the tennis court.

"I asked what happened to him. I thought he'd be retired," Aparico told a Spanish website called PuntodeBreak.com. "When they told me that, at age 34, he was still playing, the No. 2 [player in the] world and reached 17 Grand Slam finals, I thought they were joking. I could not believe it."

Aparico is reportedly going to try to attend a Federer match sometime in the near future, which is something he was planning on doing before slipping into his coma. Don't be surprised if Federer himself finds a way to make it happen.
