Eli Manning may not be viewed as being one of the NFL's top quarterbacks, but after agreeing to a contract extension worth $84 million over four years, he's going to be paid like it.

The deal, which reportedly includes $65 million in guaranteed money along with a no-trade clause, places Manning's average salary per year at the league's third highest for quarterbacks. Aaron Rogers and Russell Wilson are one and two on that list.

Manning ranked just 15th in the league in passer rating last year, but this extension is about stability for the Giants franchise. Manning has never missed a start in 11 seasons, and the way he handles himself under the intense scrutiny of the New York media is another solid reason why the team decided to lock him up for the foreseeable future.
