German champions Bayern Munich are doing all they can to help with the refugee crisis.

As part of Germany's efforts to welcome refugees to the country amid the Syrian crisis, Bayern Munich have announced plans to host training camps, German language classes and hot meals for young children.

The club are also set to host a dedicated friendly match for charity in the coming weeks, with the aim to raise €1 million for various refugee projects in the local community.

Borussia Dortmund invited 220 refugees to a game last weekend.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said:

"Bayern sees it as a social responsibility to help the refugees, needy children, women and men, to help them and to accompany them in Germany."

Before Bayern's next home game against Augsburg on September 12th, each player will walk to the pitch with a German child in one hand a young refugee in the other to set an example for integration.

Hand your heads high, Bayern.
