Here's an adorable photo that the Minnesota Vikings posted to their Twitter account over the weekend, which shows Adrian Peterson sweetly kissing his son.

The fact that the team was using Peterson as its poster child for "Family Day", however, has to at least raise a few eyebrows.

Peterson missed all but the first game of last season due to an indefinite suspension, after he was indicted on child abuse charges and later reached a plea deal to avoid jail time. He's back with the Vikings now, and it's clear the team wants to put the incident in the rearview mirror for good by positively promoting one of their biggest stars.

But given all that's happened, this particular photo choice was awkward, to say the very least.
