The entire transcript of the Tom Brady appeal of his Deflategate suspension became available yesterday, and thankfully, someone other than myself had the job of combing through the endless sea of documents to pull out the relevant details.
One of the more interesting tidbits has to do with how this all got started in the first place, and while the Colts were the ones who made a federal case out of the Patriots' preferences where air in the football is concerned, it turns out that a member of the Ravens' coaching staff is the one that should be blamed for initially tipping the Colts off.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh at one point said that his team had nothing to do with any of this.
It's seemed from the very beginning that forces had aligned to make sure that the Patriots were punished. Two of New England's rival teams working together with the league to spark the initial investigation is certainly more than enough to back up that assertion.
