Over the last five years, Greg Oden has played only 212 minutes. All of which came during the 2013-14 season with the Miami Heat. Those minutes have been spread out over the course of 26 games. No matter how you dice it, Oden has become a draft bust. But, at only 27 years old, there is the slightest glimmer of hope that maybe he can turn his career around. And what better way to try and make that happen than in the Chinese Basketball Association

The former top pick of the NBA draft will have a one-week workout with Chinese team Jiangsu Kentier at the end of this month. If Oden passes the tryout he will sign a one-year contract with the Chinese club.

In the NBA, Oden will need to battle it out for playing time and most likely end up riding the bench. By playing overseas, the Ohio State product can get the necessary minutes to hone his craft. That is, as long as he can stay healthy.
