Last week, Complex News visited Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore. for "The Ride," an annual showcase of the best high school boys and girls lacrosse players in the country. During the two day event, I received a crash course in the sport, which included one-on-one training with the legendary Bill O'Brien and all four Thompson brothers.
Naturally, I challenged Jeremy Thompson—a Major League Lacrosse player and member of the Iroquois National Team—to compete against me in a lacrosse-style obstacle course. I have absolutely no experience in the sport whatsoever, but I was really feeling myself after a morning of drills.
As it turns out, I should probably practice more and talk less. Enjoy.
