Earlier this morning at the French Open, after he dispatched Colombian Alejandro Falla, Roger Federer was approached by a knife welding maniac douche seeking a selfie on the freaking court, and he obliged because: A.) He was caught off guard. And B.) Security did absolutely nothing to stop it.

After the harrowing ordeal, Federer didn't hold back in his criticism of the high school-esque protection, saying:

"I'm not happy about it. It happened in the practice, too. It was just a kid, but then three more kids came. And on center court, where you would think this is a place where nobody can come on, he just wanders on and nothing happens. It happened during the finals in 2009 as well for me, so I definitely think that something needs to happen quickly. Basically yesterday already."

Furthermore he added:

"Normally I only speak on behalf of myself, but in this situation I think I can speak on behalf of all the players. That's where you do your job, that's where you want to feel safe, and so clearly I'm not happy about it. But nothing happened, so I'm relieved. But clearly it wasn't a nice situation to be in."

It's got to be obnoxious enough to get stopped for selfies off the court. But it really is some next level shit (and not in a good way) when athletes are getting accosted on it. Odds are when a name like Federer speaks out like this, you're bound to see some changes.

We'll monitor it for you so you don't have to pay attention to tennis.
