The Based God's Curse has been rearing its ugly head for four years now.
Kevin Durant was its first victim. He laughed at the idea of a curse. He didn't believe. The Oklahoma City Thunder appeared in the NBA Finals in 2012 and hasn't been back since. All KD had to do is play Lil B one-on-one and the curse would've been lifted, but no. He let his ego get in the way. Since the time of the curse, the Thunder traded James Harden, both Durant and Russell Westbrook battled injuries, and the team missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008-09. This thing is real.
Now, Lil B's latest victim is feeling the wrath of the Based God's Curse. James Harden stunk it up last night and somehow has yet to even acknowledge Lil B and his powers. It all started because of hand gesture Harden has been doing this year. Said hand gesture insinuates cooking. However, we all know who the originator of that move is:
Lil B, who is from the Bay area and is a Golden State Warriors fan, caught wind of Harden's wrist-whipping blasphemy and called him on it. A few days on Twitter later, the curse was mainstream and on its way to becoming as important as the Curse of the Bambino. We take a look at how things escalated to this fever pitch. This is The Definitive Timeline of the Based God's Curse.
