Oklahoma Loses Big 12 Tournament Game Thanks to a Missed Wide-Open Layup

Not a great time to be a Sooner.

1.

Last night proved that no shot was a sure thing. Russell Westbrook missed a dunk, but it's OK since he had another triple double and, most importantly, still has another game this season. Not exactly the case for Oklahoma in the Big 12 Tournament.

The Sooners' Ryan Spangler had what looked like an easy layup that would've tied the semifinal game against Iowa State. However, he couldn't quite keep his handle on the ball and missed the shot and a chance to push the game to overtime. As a result, Iowa State gets to be in the Big 12 Title game. Oklahoma, despite the good effort, does not.
