Yesterday, Jameis Winston revealed that he wouldn't announce whether or not he's going to enter the 2015 NFL Draft until after the College Football Playoff championship game. But a short time ago, Winston's father revealed that his son will enter the draft in May:

Obviously, this isn't a huge surprise, seeing as how Winston could potentially be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. But it does mean that ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay can now begin to have their "Winston or Mariota?!" debates immediately.

Stay tuned for official word on Winston's decision sometime in the near future.

UPDATE:

Winston released a statement a short time ago confirming that he will enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

"After weighing this decision with my family and friends, I have decided to declare for the 2015 NFL Draft and forgo my remaining eligibility at Florida State," Winston said in the statement. "I reached this very difficult decision after careful consideration and long thought, realizing how difficult it would be to say goodbye to my family at Florida State. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to wear the garnet and gold and have greatly enjoyed my time as a Seminole, both as an athlete and a student in the classroom."
