Arsene Wenger is ready to make Luis Suarez his prime transfer target this summer.

According to The Sun, Arsenal will make an attempt to lure Luis Suarez back to the Premier League this summer, just one year after he left Liverpool to join Barcelona in a deal worth £75 million.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly going to have big money to spend once this season ends and securing a world class striker is thought to be his top priority. Suarez ended the 2013-14 season with 31 Premier League goals but he's netted just five times for Barca in all competitions so far this campaign.

Critics always say Wenger's team needs more bite.

Arsenal believe they can test the Catalans' resolve following Barcelona's board room uncertainty. The man who brought Suarez to La Liga, sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, was sacked earlier this month, while the club is also searching for a new president at the end of the season.

If the mooted move does go ahead, it won't be the first time that Wenger has tried to sign the Uruguayan hitman. In 2013, Arsenal infamously bid £40,000,001 for Suarez – falsely believing that any bid over £40 million would force Liverpool to sell.

Pulling Luis Suarez away from the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar will be an even harder sell.
