At the end of a high school basketball game in Arizona last night, a player named Devin Kirby jumped in the air to try and attempt to catch an alley-oop pass from one of his teammates. And what happened next could end up changing the Basha High School big man's basketball career moving forward.

As Kirby went up into the air, a player from Perry High School went up with him and the two players got tangled up. Kirby then fell awkwardly and landed hard on the ground. As a result, he dislocated both of his knees and fractured his tibia and had to be rushed to the hospital. And he posted an X-ray of his injuries on Twitter earlier today and they do not look good:

Fortunately, Kirby seemed to be in good spirits after suffering the injuries. He sent out a photo of him holding a trophy—his team ended up winning the Tempe McClintock Holiday Shootout tournament—and also thanked his teammates for being there for him:

But he also indicated that he believes his injuries were the result of a cheap shot that he took during the game:

And it seems he still can't believe what happened to him:

Prayers up for him. This is definitely one of the craziest injuries we've ever seen a basketball player suffer.
