This Kansas Jayhawks Punter is Terrified of the Football

This Kansas Jayhawks punter wanted nothing to do with the football after fumbling a snap

In the midst of Oklahoma's destruction of Kansas today, the Jayhawks punter decided he'd rather preserve his body than prevent his team from losing.

During one of his many punt attempts, KU punter Trevor Pardula let the snap slip through his hands and rocket about ten yards behind him. Pardula recognized his mistake, and like any competent football player would, ran toward the football to inevitably fall on it and prevent the Sooners from recovering in Kansas territory.

Instead of doing that, Pardula just stared at the ball until it stopped rolling, despite four Sooner defenders barreling down on him. Pardula had a mini panic attack as his life flashed in front of his eyes. With the game already completely out of hand, Pardula decided it wasn't worth it to get tackled and possibly have physical contact with another human being, so he just watched as Oklahoma recovered the football. It's an awful play that will certainly become a metaphor for Kansas' 2014 season. Rock. Chalk. Jayhawk!
