Nick Foles reportedly has a broken collarbone, which means Mark Sanchez is once again a starting NFL quarterback.

A source has told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles suffered a broken collarbone in today’s loss to the Houston Texans and will miss at least a month (and probably more). Yes, that means that Mark Sanchez is back as an NFL starter for the foreseeable future.

“The Sanchize” did well in relief of Foles this afternoon, completing 15 of his 22 passes for 202 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Of course, his entire body of work leaves something to be desired:

While Foles was not having quite the same season as last year (he already has thrown nine interceptions in eight games, compared to just two in 13 appearances in 2013), Sanchez may still prove to be a step down for the Eagles. With a resurgent Dallas right behind them in the NFC East and the Giants always lurking, the Eagles can ill-afford to have any serious slip-ups on offense now.
