When the Jacksonville Jaguars returned from their bye week on Monday and started discussing what they did during their time off, cornerback Dwayne Gratz will probably have the most interesting story of them all. The only thing Gratz needs to say to his teammates is, "I tried buying stuff with bubble gum." Who isn't sold after hearing the absurdity of that statement?

Early Sunday morning, Gratz was arrested and charged with trespassing after a warning and disorderly intoxication following a grocery store incident at the Ocean Reef Suits in Miami Beach, Fla. With no money in his pockets, the second-year pro tried bartering a number of items in exchange for bubble gum. When the employee denied his request, Gratz got confrontational and refused to leave the store.

Eventually, the employee contacted the police. When they showed up, Gratz was noticeably intoxicated with bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol, according to the report by the Miami Beach Police Department. Even after he refused the authorities multiple attempts to make him leave the store, Gratz was placed in handcuffs and forced to spend the night in jail. He was released Monday morning on a $1,000 bond.

Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said "any discipline would be handled internally," according to ESPN.
